The award of the nominated projects as well as the awarding of the Staatspreise2012 and the Sonderpreize2012 took place in the solemn framework of a gala dinner on the 22nd of May 2012 in the Grand and Little Redoutensaal of the Viennese Hofburg.

In front of an audience of 450 selected and invited guests the trophies and certificates were handed over to the nominees and award winners by the respective representatives of the ministries. The guests were guided through the evening by Barbara Rett and Tarek Leitner.

On the occasion of the awarding of the public prize2012 environmental and energy technology with the special prize “Start Up Resource Efficiency” the conference “Resource Efficiency and Environmental Technologies” took place for the first time, and discussed topcis such as raw material scarcity and critical raw materials, resource efficiency through environmental technologies, best practice and innovations and the promotion of young entrepreneurs.
The awards gave the participants an exclusive framework to consolidate existing contacts, to establish new contacts and to discuss the innovations and innovations in the industry. The Gala2012 Prize was the culmination of all the activities carried out within the framework of the 2012 “Environmental and Energy Technology”.
